ISTANA JAHAR – THE KELANTAN ROYAL MUSEUM.
Situated in Merdeka Square in the centre of the town the Istana Jahar, which now houses the Kelantan Royal Museum, was built for Sultan Muhammad 11 in 1887. Open from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily (closed on Wednesdays), admission is free. There is intricate wood carving and panelling to be viewed.
